Gantry robots provide flexible and efficient solutions for a wide range of material handling
applications such as: pick and place, machine loading and unloading, stacking, unitizing,
and palletizing. However, the capabilities of gantry robots are not limited to material
handling tasks only. The continuous development process of robotic systems greatly improved
functionality and adaptability of gantry robots in the demanding environment of factory
automation. At the same time many gantry robot systems became more complex and more
expensive.
Dynaservo Inc. developed a new generation of motion control products designed specifically
to simplify configuration of gantry robot systems. Dynaservo advanced design is based on
integration of system control and HMI functions in one compact and portable unit, which
communicates with other motion system components over high-speed serial communication link.
This unique design eliminates PLC from the system control structure, thus providing
exceptional throughput and great cost effectiveness.
Dynaservo gantry robot motion system incorporates versatile handheld multi-axis motion
controller terminal, servo drives, I/O modules, and compact and efficient servomotors.
The system utilizes powerful capabilities of the portable motion controller to provide
great functionality, exceptional accuracy, repeatability and speed consistency. Dynaservo
gantry robot motion control system offers: integrated, compact design; no need for PLC;
reduced size of control enclosure; reduced labor and material costs; reliable performance.
